War isn’t something any of us should have to witness, let alone children. But 1 in 6 kids today live in conflict zones around the world. For them, extreme violence isn’t an imagined nightmare but a reality they face every day. Mom, I See War is a digital museum that documents children’s first-hand experiences of armed conflict as expressed through their art. The project aims to provide a vivid, unfiltered conveyance of war from a poetic and imaginative perspective of childhood. Utilizing technology such as the blockchain, we have digitized and archived the artwork to become part of humanity’s historical record of the children affected by war.

About
Juliette D. Marquis is a Ukraine-born documentary producer, director, and writer on subjects ranging from black-market trades, social justice, biotechnology, and hackerism. In 2020 Marquis co-founded a media/technology company called GroundStorm Media and is the president and founder of Tiaki.org, a technology non-profit organization that connects survivors of sexual violence. She is the creator and director of the Dent series, which profiles people who help shape our world and is in distribution talks on a feature documentary she wrote, produced, and directed called Horn Maker, filmed across Africa and Southeast Asia, about a man set to disrupt the black-market trade of rhino horn by using biotech. Marquis was a producer and 1st AD on the Hulu documentary Jewel Thief and The Butterfly Effect directed by Phillipe Colland. She was the VR producer on An Elephant Story for the Elephant Cooperation and producer on the documentary film Renegade, leading a team undercover into Mexico to film in brothels and gangland territories, finding sources to expose the underground human trafficking web.
Previously, Marquis was an executive producer and designer for experiential activations such as the 2008 Super Bowl Village in Scottsdale, the W Hotel’s grand opening in Phoenix, senior event designer for Activision: Call of Duty Black Ops Game Launch and E3 booth, and senior producer for the Apple+ activation at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival.
Born in Kyiv, Ukraine, coming to America as a refugee right before the breakup of the Soviet Union, Marquis began her career in front of the camera, signed to Elite International as a model in Europe, then acting in features and series that premiered at Sundance, Cannes, Tribeca, Prague and Berlin, winning Best Actress at Film Internazionale di Milano. In 2021 Marquis penned her first scripted feature film called “Maya”, centered around the Ukrainian Revolution of 2014, production of which has been put on hold due to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. This feature will be Marquis’ directorial debut into scripted entertainment.
